Brick & Grit is adding custom BJJ gis to the range — a single gi made to your own spec, or a full academy run in your club’s colours. Your badges, your embroidery, your colourway, cut and finished by the same operation that already makes rashguards, spats and shorts for UK academies. No pre-made blanks with a logo slapped on, no drop-shipped catalogue gi.
If you’ve been quoted for custom gis before, you’ll know the usual pattern: a minimum order of fifty, a three-month lead time and a factory you never speak to. That rules out anyone who just wants one gi of their own. We’re building this the way we build everything else — direct, one piece or a full run, with a person on the end of the phone.

Why Order Gis From a Manufacturer
Most “custom” gis in the UK are a stock kimono with patches applied. That’s fine until you reorder and the blank has changed, or a patch lifts after ten washes. Because we cut and sew our own garments, an academy order is a specification we hold — so the batch you order next year matches the one you ordered this year.

When will gis actually be available?
We’re working to a first production run within roughly four to six weeks. Everyone on the registration list hears first, with full specification and pricing, before it goes public.
Am I committing to anything by registering?
No. No payment is taken and nothing is ordered. Registering tells us how many gis to plan for and puts you at the front of the queue when the first run opens.
Is there a minimum order for an academy?
No — a single gi is fine. Batch sizes for club runs are being set now, and the registration numbers feed directly into that decision, so telling us your numbers genuinely shapes what we offer.
Can I order just one gi?
Yes — one-offs are part of the offer from day one, not an exception we squeeze in. Put “one gi” on the form and you’re on the same list as the academies. It’s how a lot of our work starts; see one-off customs for how that works across the rest of the range.
Do you make no-gi kit as well?
Yes, and it’s available now — custom BJJ team kits, custom rashguards, custom spats and custom fight shorts, all made in the same workshop.
